1 You, LORD, showed favor to your land;
you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
2 You forgave the iniquity of your people
and covered all their sins.
3 You set aside all your wrath
and turned from your fierce anger.
Thank you, God, for forgiving me and covering all my sin.  Such lovingkindness!
4 Restore us again, God our Savior,
and put away your displeasure toward us.
5 Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
6 Will you not revive us again,
that your people may rejoice in you?
7 Show us your unfailing love, LORD,
and grant us your salvation.
.

8 I will listen to what God the LORD says;
he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants—
but let them not turn to folly.

Thank you, Lord, for giving me peace that does not depend on circumstances but on your eternally true promises.

9 Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,
that his glory may dwell in our land.

10 Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.

Thank you, Jesus, for showing us in real life what love and faithfulness and righteousness truly are.

12 The LORD will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.
.

13 Righteousness goes before him
and prepares the way for his steps.

John 1:14 (New American Standard Bible)

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Thank you, Lord, that you walked on earth to save us from our sins and to reconcile us to God and one another.

Music:

Yesterday I saw people out with their baskets in a “u-pick-it” strawberry field here in Florida.  And I know that when I lived in the Midwest, this time of year was good seed catalog time!  So as I think of the Lord blessing our land and giving us a harvest, as in the verses and pictures above, perhaps this song need not be confined to autumn months!

Simple Secrets of the Kingdom
Study 11 – Daily a New Creation

Every person needs to live under God’s grace in Jesus. To do this requires a transfer from living under the law. Only under grace are we free to yield control of our behavior to God. Under law sin still controls. People who live under the law are not free because sin still rules them. Under grace, God is in control. This study helps you to see whether you are living under law or under grace.  Click here for AUDIO or VIDEO.

    Regarding access to pictures etc in Dwelling in the Word: On MY computer screen, in order to open the pictures, it is necessary to click the line directly BELOW the line that says the number and the reading for the day. I suppose screens differ.
    Thank you.
