Founded in 1938, Mount Carmel is a year-round Christian conference center and summer family camp located on pristine Lake Carlos near Alexandria, Minnesota. We welcome all Christians as well as those seeking to learn more about God and Jesus the Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our theology is grounded in the historic biblical Christian tradition, with an emphasis on applying the Word of God to daily life. And “Jesus Only” is the Word of God made flesh. –Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path (Psalm 119:105).

Our high seasons are the summer and fall when we offer the following programs:
~International Conference for students and teachers
~Cantabile, a conference for choral directors and singers
~Fine Arts Week for families and adults
~Six weeks of family camp
~Sacred Dance Conference
~Mini Week for families and adults
~Healing Retreat
~Elderversities for senior adults
~Women’s Retreats
~Prayer Retreats
~and more . . .
–”The time has come,” Jesus said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15).
During the other seasons of the year, Mount Carmel is available for retreats, day meetings, conferences, workshops, and special events.

Situated on 82 acres with two-thirds of a mile of shoreline, Mount Carmel offers a variety of housing options as well as recreational activities. And our meals are delicious, home-made fares that will be remembered long after you leave!

What a wonderful blog for Mount Carmel. I hope to use it as much as possible. Wife, Gloria Anderson is in Knute Nelson Nursong Home, Room 144. When I have her home on Lake LeHommeDieu I will utilize this blog, and I know she will love it.
The pictures bring back the feelings of “family” and friends sharing and learning and supporting one another in the name of Jesus: the beauty of this Christian community, the music, the wonderful teachers, the chapel services, Dailytext.com done in person, the prayer chapel, the food, the welcoming staff and families, the intergenerational atmosphere, talent shows, concerts, discussion groups, the lake, soccer games, walking paths, and, of course, Johan and Sonia Hinderle (alias Martin and Katie Luther). What more can I say… it’s a little piece of heaven on earth!Jesus Only!
Mount Carmel what a wonderful place I enjoyed as a
teen and now as an adult. The friendships are lasting
ones the bible studies and opportunities to listen to
missionaries is an awsome opportunities. The music &
the arts are certainly a great addition to the week.Linda
I would just like to direct you to consider the findings of Ron Wyatt regarding the real Mt. Siani east of the gulf of Aquaba, and the route that the Isrealites took out of Egypt. I have not only studied this for some years now, but my cousin also went over to verify many findings of Ron. http://www.wyattmuseum.com/red-sea-crossing.htm
The Jebel el Lawz – Mt. Siani is in Saudi Arabia. Many artifacts have been found to verify this site. Furthermore, the Saudi’s have erected a chain-link fence to keep people out, as well as stationed guard houses…a very well kept secret I would think. Please check out the information at the URL above for Wyatt Museum.
